The Coffee Shop is open seven days a week if you fancy a nice relax, while in the Farm Shop their are over 900 specialist foods at your disposal - locally sourced wherever possible.
The
Pick Your Own range is marvellous with a vast amount of fruit and vegetables available to buy already picked, or for you to come along and pick until your satisfied.
If you like Strawberries, the "Table Top Strawberries" are grown at waist height for ease of picking, otherwise many pick your own produce are available; such as:
Strawberries, Raspberries, Gooseberries, Red & Blackcurrants, Blackberries, Loganberries, Tayberries, Cherries, Plums, 18 varieties of Apples, Asparagus, Runner Beans, Courgettes, Pumpkins and Herbs.
The Farm Shop is exceptional with an amazing volume of local and home-made produce available to purchase all year round.
Farm Shop Produce: Fruit and Vegetables:Seasonal soft fruit and vegetables (see table), with a large proportion of Strawberries now under cover, plus a wide variety of home grown Apples.
Fruit Pies & Crumbles:Summer Pudding, Apple & Mincemeat, Raspberry & Almond and Raspberry & Marscapone Tarts.
Pies, Quiches, Lasagne & Pasties:Thai Chicken, Chicken in Cream & Mushroom Sauce, Lamb with Apricot, Beef Bourguignon, Pheasant with Chestnuts, Venison Casserole, Wild Rabbit Casserole, Moussaka, Cottage Pie, Beef Lasagne and Vegetable Lasagne with Blue Cheese. Savoury Pies include Steak & Mushroom, Steak & Kidney, Game, Chicken & Mushroom, all produced with home-made pastry. A variety of Quiches, including vegetarian, are also available.
Ice Cream:A good selection of the award winning Hadley's and Farmer Bill's Ice Cream together with a range of Alder Carr Cream Ice - all delicious with our fruit pies and crumbles.
Meats:Home reared pork from Lane Farm Country Foods and home reared Cratfield Beef from Suffolk, plus Pedigree Tilbury Meadow Beef from nearby Great Yeldham, as well as a selection of local poultry, lamb, sausages and bacon, are available.
Cheeses:Deli Counter with over 40 specialist cheeses.
Pates:A good selection of pates are available including Chicken, Pork, Duck, Pheasant, Venison, Smoked Fish & Salmon.
Fruit Juices:The popular single variety apple juices, using their own apples, together with a selection of farm pressed fruit cordials and sparkling presses from Belvoir Fruit Farm, plus the award winning 'Big Tom' spiced Tomato Juice and such delights as Curiosity Cola and Victorian Lemonade!
Frozen Fruit, Vegetables, Bakery and Fish:A good selection of loose frozen fruit and vegetables, also including Home Roast Potatoes, Hash Browns, Yorkshire Puddings, Breaded Garlic Mushrooms, Apple Turnovers, Croissants, Pain aux Raisin, Pain au Chocolat, Fish Cakes and Prawns.
Bread and RollsChutney's, Pickles & Marmalades:Delicious home made Fruit slabs, Fruit buns and Eccles cakes, all made in the farm shop kitchen, plus locally made sponge cakes, as well as a good range of hand-baked fruit and other cakes and a broad selection of sweet and savoury biscuits and hand-baked meringues.
EggsHoney:Pure Essex Honey - Set, Clear and Comb, plus Suffolk Borage Honey
Snacks and Confectionary:Gourmet snacks and nuts, including award winning 'Tyrrells' Potato Chips, the only U.K. small chip maker to grow and produce potato chips, giving extra crispiness! Plus a range of traditional sweets and confectionary.
Oils & Vinegars:Premium range of flavoured olive oils and vinegars using high quality ingredients.
Sauces, Dressings and Marinades:
A comprehensive selection of popular sauces, dressings and marinades including a wide selection from Swayfen Herbs plus the Earls Colne based Simply Delicious organic range.
Olives:Anti-pasti and a selection of green and black fresh olives are available, plus semi-dried tomatoes and pesto.
Game:Game -'wild'-meat naturally harvested from farms and estates in Suffolk, including Venison, Rabbit and Pigeon, plus Game Pie mix.
Smoked Fish:A high quality range of smoked fish is available from Butley Oysterage - Pinneys of Orford - including Prawns, Salmon, Haddock, Mackerel, Kippers, Sardines, Trout, Eel & Pate.
Puddings:Coles Traditional Steamed Puddings in individual microwavable packs - including Spotted Dick, Treacle, Sticky Toffee, Ginger & Orange and Chocolate.
Vegetarian:A range of Patés, Humous and Falafels from locally based Leeora Vegetarian Foods
Spencer's has the most fantastic product range, I couldn't recommend it more.
